Adeniyi Johnson, a Nollywood actor, has criticized Nigerian filmmaker Bola Akande in light of the unexpected death of emerging actor Ola Lawal during a film production.
According to Naija News, Johnson expressed his concerns in an Instagram post on Monday, June 9, 2025, regarding Akande's management of the unfortunate incident, which reportedly occurred under her oversight.
While Johnson does not attribute direct responsibility for Ola’s death to Bola, he emphasized the importance of her sharing her perspective and providing support to the grieving family.
He stated that Ola’s father felt disrespected by the handling of the incident and mentioned that he and other film stars are seeking justice for the deceased and a proper burial.

We are shocked and saddened by Ola’s passing.” Your lack of response is significant.
