On Monday morning, Jerry was reportedly arrested at his residence in Delta State by officers from the Edo State Police Command.

Members of the Delta State Police have apprehended well-known Nigerian actor Jerry Williams. 

According to information shared by Nollywood actor Stanley Ontop, Williams was allegedly arrested by Nwafor Franklin, also known as Izutech, with assistance from the police. The arrest reportedly took place on Monday morning at Williams' residence in Delta State, conducted by officers from the Edo State Police Command. 

Stanley expressed concerns about Jerry's safety and accused Izutech of retaining N2.5 million collected from producers wishing to cast Jerry in their movie. In a caption accompanying the video, he stated: "Izu went to Jerry Williams' house early today, July 21, 2025, and took him to Benin with the assistance of some Nigerian police. 

It should be noted that Jerry Williams is in Izu’s custody." “If anything occurs regarding Jerry, Izu should be held accountable.” This statement comes just a few days after Jerry Williams returned to Nollywood following several months in rehabilitation for substance abuse.
