The controversy arose after an audio recording featuring Apostle Okpe surfaced online. In the recording, the clergyman was heard speaking in a telephone conversation with Pastor Martin, in which he stated that he met Anunobi and had a sexual relationship with her for more than five years.
Reacting publicly to the allegations, the 60-year-old actress took to her Instagram page on Sunday, posting a series of emotional videos in which she vehemently denied the allegations. She described the statements attributed to Apostle Okpe as false, malicious, defamatory and deliberately aimed at damaging his reputation and ministry.
Anunobi said the allegations caused her serious emotional distress and insisted she would not allow the matter to be ignored or trivialized. According to her, these claims were the culmination of years of threats that the clergy is suspected of disrupting the ministry.
"I'm not going to let this be swept under the rug," he said. These negative and negative comments have made me sad and confirmed the threats he has made over the years to destroy my ministry.
So I have done the law, he has to prove a relationship with me for five years and six months."
He said his legal team had directed the Nigerian Police Force as well as US immigration and security authorities over what he called defamatory allegations aimed at defaming his integrity, public image and status as a popular actor and evangelist.
The actor also expressed concern about his personal life, saying that his life and ministry are in danger. He warned that Apostle Okpe is responsible for any harm that befalls him or his loved ones.
