The Husband Of The Late Gospel Artist Osinachi Nwachukwu, Has Received A Death Sentence By Hanging.

Peter Nwachukwu, the husband of the late gospel artist Osinachi Nwachukwu, has received a death sentence by hanging.

On April 28, at the FCT High Court in Abuja, Justice Nwosu-lheme ruled that Peter was guilty of culpable homicide in connection with his wife's death on April 8, 2022. The prosecution brought forth 17 witnesses, including two of Osinachi's children, and submitted 25 documents as evidence in court.

Despite Peter and his legal team attempting to defend him with four witnesses, the evidence against him was too strong. Prior to the sentencing, his attorney requested leniency, but the court remained firm in its pursuit of justice for Osinachi.

Peter Nwachukwu has been sentenced to: Death by hanging for Count 1, two years for several additional offenses (such as spousal abuse and child cruelty), and fines of #500,000 and #200,000 for other charges.
